Planning your wedding is supposed to be a happy time for couples, excited to share the rest of their lives together. However, in Hong Kong, a young women who choose to stay anonymous said that she was tricked into marrying a stranger as part of training to become a wedding planner. She was only aware of the marriage when she returned home and when she sought help from the police there was not much that could have been done because of lack of evidence. She then turned to the D irector of the Rights and Benefits Committee of FTU who said that this is a new scam affecting modern Hong Kong. She had applied to be a makeup artist but after applying for an internship she was pressured to become a wedding planner. It was later discovered that she was married by a friend who convinced her that it was a scam. Many reports like these have been filled as the spouse is seeking residence in Hong Kong. This a problem on the rise and there is no clear way in helping to stop the spread of this scam....
